Freedom - Eastern - Free WiFi on Islands?

Hi All,

 

I'm doing the eastern itinerary on Freedom later this year, stopping at Coco Cay, St Thomas and St Maarten.

 

I have an iPhone, do many places on these islands (presumably not Coco Cay) have places with free wifi where I can download my emails?

There is a small tiki bar at the dock in St Martin that has free wi-fi if you have a drink there. Sorry I can't help with a name though.

St. Thomas is considered "in network" for AT&T, so you don't have to go in search of an internet cafe with free wifi there.

Are you sure? When I inquiried at my local store before last weeks FOS cruise (everyone had an iPhone) I was told that the charges would be astronomical, I made my girls shut the phones down for the entire cruise...

Also, I have a British iPhone, so I would be roaming. Free Wifi is what I'm after :)

How about using the Free "Wi-Fi-Finder" app? Available from the Itunes App Store. Would that work? It does open with a world map....so I'm guesing it will work everywhere. You could turn it on in port and look for nearby locations. :D
