Why No Beer Package ?

Relatives travelling on Celebrity Eclipse in a few weeks time, where telling us about the various drinks packages on offer - given Celebrity is owned by Royal Caribbean - just wondered why they do not have the same packages across both brands ?:confused:

It may be the same company, but they're different products, with different clientele, different expectations. The same reason Hampton Inns have free breakfast and Hiltons don't.

pay as you go is not a bad thing. buying packages sometimes limits you to what you want at that moment.

We had the beer package on our last Celebrity cruise, loved it. I know that it saved me money. They also allow you to bring on 2 bottles of wine.

MSC had beer, drink, & wine packages. I think the beers came out to around $ 3.25 per.
