Hello We will be on the same cruise. How did you book the hotel, directly or online. thanks. We were also looking at this hotel as well as others. What made you decide on this one.

My TA recommended it. She has stayed at Le Meridien across the street but felt it was too much money at twice the price of 1898. She said it is in a great location (safety wise) and we will be able to walk everywhere we want to go. Lots of hotels are close to Las Ramblas and Gothic Quarter so it was hard to choose, but she said that we will love this hotel.

 

I also read a lot of reviews on tripadvisor dot com and found that many of the hotels have plus and minus remarks, but 1898 was pretty much all pluses except for the price. We just decided to go for it since we are only there two nights. If I was there for a week, I might have taken a chance on a cheaper hotel.
