Pre-Cruise Hotel, Transfers?

We need a pre-cruise Ft Lauderdale hotel, going on the Solstice 9-26-10. Can anyone recommend a hotel that has airport pick up and delivery to the cruiseport included (or cheap), plus close by something (shops, entertainment, dining) to do that afternoon/evening?

 

Also, our flight after the cruise leaves 10 hours after the ship docks. We would like to check our luggage and do something until we need to leave. Anyone ever stay at a hotel pre-cruise, and then have the hotel shuttle you back after the cruise so you can check luggage until it's time to go?

 

Or any other ideas? We fly back to Idaho at 5:00 PM and don't want to stay at the airport all day.
