Deck 14 or lower?

Looks like deck 14 towards the aft has an overhang. For those of you that have been on these decks would you take a lower deck like 10,11,12 0r13 before 14? Thanks

I would definetly take a lower floor...that overhang looks huge in the pics I've seen. A balcony wrecker, IMHO!

The opposite of forward. :D It is the rear of the ship. ;)

We were booked on deck 14, but just changed to deck 11 - I didn't like the overhang, and someone mention we would hear noise from the deck above.

I had deck 14 booked, near where the children's area is I think, and was quite looking forward to it. I dont think they kids could have made enough noise to worry about.

 

For us, my sister has mobility issues, so it would be worth it for us to book deck 14, but for you, hard to say since I dont know you personally. We would rather have some noise and be one deck below the buffet and pool.

What's this overhang issue I keep reading about?

We just got off Oasis last Saturday. We had a JS on deck 14, midship, and definitely would not go for this deck again for two reasons -

1. The overhang, very little sun coming into the balcony.

2. Quite a bit of noise early in the morning, I mean about 6.00 a.m. It sounded like sun loungers etc. being moved around.

 

About from the above, I would really love to sail on Oasis again, she is truly a magnificent ship. Even on the days that we were at sea there was never any problems trying to get a lounger in the sun. Enjoy her. :)

Someone actually posted a picture of the overhang and that made me change our cabin - I will go back and look for it.
