Audio at Seaside Theater on the Dream

I think it's so cool that there's a big screen on the deck of the Dream. I'm looking forward to "going to the movies" at night. But I was wondering how good the audio is. I just thought that with the wind, the movie would be difficult to hear. Anybody out there who's been on the Dream and can weigh in?

I see alot of people say they can not wait to watch movies on there cruise, for me that is the last thing I want to do. lol. I guess I feel I can sit in my living room and watch TV, on the ship, I want to do things I do not do at home.

Sorry, but I could not care if that TV was there or not, lol.

Just had to say my piece. Sorry if this bothers anyone. Just my opinion.

On the ships I've been on with the SeaSide Theater, including the Dream, I can tell that there's no issue with enough volume.

The pool area on the Lido Deck is pretty well protected from wind to begin with so you'll be fine...

:)

I am always bored at night and would rather chill outside with a beer watching a movie then throw money away in the casino or watch a theatre show.

Good for you. Thanks for weighing in and letting me know that my idea to watch a movie isn't a good one. I asked about the audio. You can do whatever you want on your cruise, and I'll do what I want on mine. Sitting in my living room watching TV vs watching a movie on a big screen outside on the deck of a ship on the open sea. Big difference to me. How did I know I couldn't ask an innocent question on this site without it SOMEHOW being turned negative...

How late are the tvs usually on till? On my last few cruises on RCI my friends and i would just sit out by the pool at night and chill and enjoy the other sounds rather then a movie

The Seaside Theaters are by the midship pools. You can always go to the aft pool, if you don't want to be bothered by it.

Did not say you should or should not watch a movie. Please do not turn my words around, if that is your idea of a good time, have at it. I was just saying, for me the last thing I want to do on my cruise, is watch a movie, when I can do that every day at home, and most times I do not even do that.

Have a good cruise.

THIS THREAD HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH OPINIONS ABOUT WATCHING MOVIES OR TV ON YOUR CRUISE. I simply asked how the audio was. I get it though. You're the type of person who inserts your opinion in situations where it wasn't asked and people probably can't stand that side of you but you don't care or don't realize it. And you KEEP DOING IT.

Amy,

The audio is fine on Dream; it does get a bit windy even though it's well protected. On nights when the wind is blowing, they do have throw blankets available to keep you warm.

Like many have said, the sound is very good. Its not overpowering or distorted. Still easy to hear the movie and carry a conversation.
