Shire Posted May 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Any idea of price and quality? I have seen £35 for 10 minutes being quoted? I am taking an impromptu late cruise so need to do a bit of work to keep the wolves at bay whilst on board which will necessitate me sending and receivng emails and odd files back home (sad I know). I know the ship is wi-fi enabled but do they also have a LAN connection in the staterooms? Is there an internet cafe? Previously ship download rates have been similar to a dial up rather than a broadbacnd connection. is Azura any better? Thanks for any info. I think the next scale down was £45 for 100 minutes. + you get your Portunas discount off this. No there are no lan connections in staterooms! We were very pleased with the connection, much faster than on previous cruises and great to be able to connect in your room, and no repeat email downloads, which we experienced on Ventura. You can also hire notebooks for free! Happy cruising!
kevinyork Posted May 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2010 Think thats right, £65 for 250 mins or about £30 for 100. If you book it before departure you get an extra 30 mins and 10 mins free on top.
BrianI Posted May 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2010 Current prices are as follows Time plan 1 250mins for £62.50 (£0.25/min) Time plan 2 100mins for £35 (£0.35/min) Pay as you go £0.50 per min There is also an account activation charge of £2.50 applied on first login only. This was on Oriana last week and I believe all P&O ships are the same price Brian

How do you book it before departure? We're on Ventura in two weeks' time and I'd like to do this. However I've logged into my Cruise Personaliser page on the P&O website and I can't see an option to book internet time. On our last cruise I booked a package shortly after embarkation. Hi Tom I have just got this info off P & O website, you need to telephone 08453555333 with your booking ref, cruise number and cabin number. They accept payment with Visa, Mastercard & American Express, it is part of the gift collection. Hope this helps.
cruiseluvva Posted January 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2011 I have just found this thread. Am I reading correctly that Azura has wi fi in all cabins? I am specifically interested in access in the suites. I shall be taking my own Netbook.
