laundry on board Ruby Princess

Thanks for the feedback on the washing machines. I recently discovered "Single Dose Laundy Drop-Ins", which are small laundry detergent packs that are similar to the detergent packs that you put in a dishwasher. They seem to be for HE machines only.

I did google those Purex sheets that everybody is talking about. Amazing that a sheet could have enough detergent for a wash AND also work as a dryer sheet. It says it works for both HE and regular machines, too. Who comes up with these things?!

The Purex sheets work really well and have a nice smell to boot. I have used them in both types of machines with similar results. They are great for traveling because they take up so little room. For a long time, I could only find the two-piece trial size (Walmart, 99 cents) but at the start of the summer, Walmart is now carrying the bigger sizes -- much cheaper too. I want to say I paid $4.50 for 20 or 30 washes.
