VeggieCruzer Posted July 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Has anyone ordered these before? I was wondering if it's decent wine, and how the fruit is. Is it worth $40 to have it waiting in our room for us? Also, how reliable is this? I ordered the room decorations and a Bon Voyage cake for my kids's room and am hoping it'll be all done by the time they go to their room for the first time. Is that how it works or will it be setup later? I wanted it to be a surprise when they first arrive. TIA!:)
Rare rrraydon Posted July 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2010 I ordered the basket for my mom and brother on the Pride this past February. The wine was basic, like white zin. The fruit was really good. Fresh fruit is getting very expensive. I thought it was a good deal.
Rare rrraydon Posted July 14, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Oh, I requested it be in the room upon arrival and it was.
2addicted2xmas Posted July 14, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2010 We received a fruit basket as a gift and the fruit was so delicious. Especially the bananas. We found out they get the fruit locally on our cruise. Which meant from Costa Rica and the quality is amazing. The one down fall is we were so full all the time we did not get to eat it all! charlnel Posted July 14, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2010 We've ordered the wine basket three times. The wine was decent...a house chardonay. The basket was full of fruit, cheese and crackers. We enjoyed it. It was nice to have something to munch on while unpacking and a glass of wine on the balcony while waiting for sailaway was nice. We thought it was worth the money. Twice it was in the room when we arrived and once while we were unpacking. Enjoy!
golfadj Posted July 14, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Since you can get all the fruit you want on the lido deck do not understand the point of a fruit basket you pay for. Wine is another story.
