Can someone tell me if my balcony on the Epic is covered?

LUSITANICA ... thanks so much for providing the info on my room #8069. Sure doesn't look like the best delux balcony on the ship .. except that it is near the stairs to decks 7, 6 & 5. Maybe I'll give some thought to changing. NCL sure never mentioned those life boats right at your feet and blocking the view from deck 8.:(

Looks like you got yourself a full time job here. Guess you'll have to announce your retirement when enough is enough.:eek: Have a great day and once again thank you.

Hello, all. Fascinating post, but one I find making me quite uneasy. After looking at the deckplans and the pictures, can anyone tell me if cabin 10312 is one of the "in Hull" balconies? It is located port side aft, and I see those squared windows. I saw somewhere in another post that these windows are part of the aft stairwells?

I changed 14004 (enclosed balcony) for 10234. It was a mistake? Can someone tell me if the balcony is covered. Thanks

Arandi, so glad you were able to change cabins. Yes it's covered by the cabins on deck 12. I'm sure the "pinpointer" will post a picture for you, he does that so good.:)

Lusitanica, I can't figure out which stateroom has the wonderful-looking wraparound balcony pictured in http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/cmB8imSApifoKOFcxsMGUA?feat=directlink. it's on the 14th floor, and looks like it is just below the Garden Cafe (as far as I can guess) and before the Mandara Spa on the port side. To get perspective, the album is http://picasaweb.google.com/erdoran and this specific picture is #59. #61 and #55 are closeups of this balcony, and you can see it in some other distance shots like #68 as well as others. From http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/Norwegian+Epic-deck-plans.html it looks like it is part of the spa, but from the photo it looks like it is part of a room, perhaps 14118. I would think if it is that this would be a wonderful room to have because of the great balcony. It's either an SD or M9 depending on pre/post May 2011.

What do you think?

10234 is covered.

It overlooks open balconies on deck 9 and lifeboats.

Was it a mistake?

It depends on what you like.

Now you have more sun but the view is not good.

Hey, im thinking of changing my cabin from 10016 to 10032, since it seems that 10016 is a balcony with a wall with hoe in.

Would you think its a good switch ?

Thanks in advance

Kim

IMO 10016 has much better view.

10032 has a bed by the entrance door.

But enclosed balcony vs not enclosed...is up to you.

Ok, my Dad was able to switch his room from 11016 to 11317 which is an AFT balcony. Do you have any up-close views of the AFT cabins? Are the balconies any larger than the regular ones?

Thanks again!

This is 11317.

I cannot see anything that indicates increase in balcony size.

Looks like a standard balcony, maybe a few inches deeper.

The bed is by the entrance door.

Correct--you have a view up and a view down. Personally, I liked not having a roof because I wanted what little sun there was, but that's just me!

The above link shows the view above--I shot it standing on my balcony pointing the camera up!
