Cab fares and tipping in Ft. Lauderdale

Sorry to start a new thread on this subject but I haven't found an answer. In Florida do you generally tip for a cab fare depending on the distance, number of passengers or number of luggage:confused:

Figure the tip off of the total charge the cabbie tells you.

In general it is appropriate to tip 15% on top of the total cab fare. You do not need to tip for the luggage as well if you are tipping on the fare.
