Price negotiations

No .. since even TAs are not allowed to discount .. and either are Carnival reps. It woudlnt occur to me to try... but try if you want.

 

My PVP said she isnt even supposed to be allowed to give me a bottle of wine, without a chance she could get in trouble.

Has anyone ever tried call the cruiseline directly and try to negotiate a lower price than is offered?

 

You're not buying a used car.

 

There's NO calling the cruise line to try to "haggle" a lower price. The price you're getting has to be the same exact price offered to the guest holding on line 2 for the same sailing, ship, and category.

 

With that said, prices do vary wildly, even from one hour to the next. The best thing to do is to book your cruise, and then monitor the prices. If they go down, you can always get your price adjusted (until final payment for all rates, and until a few days prior to departure if you book under early saver rate)
