I am taking a tent fan I just bought from Wal Mart. It uses 8 D batteries.

If you have used a tent fan, how long will the batteries last in it. I want to use it at night for about 7 hours per night.

We have one and it has a high/low setting. On real good alkaline batteries, it will run about 3 hours on high and about 5 1/2 hours on low. If you use rechargeable batteries (like we do on the cruise), it is about 2 1/2 hours on high and about 4 hours on low.

 

We bring two sets of rechargeable D batteries (yes that is 16 batteries) and we have a rule....he who gets up first in the middle of the night to potty, changes the batteries.

 

.....sure was easier when for years and many cruises we just used an electric fan.

I did not realize they had D sized rechargeable. I will need to head back to Wal Mart. Thanks.

7 or 8 hours per night on high will last 5 days. We just did it.
