Stepping up Security

I heard Carnival is stepping up security and are now patting all passengers down. Is this true?

It's the security PORT security...kinda like the airport security is TSA...not Delta, or USAIR.

I don't know how many of these bull crap rumors get started on here and end up having a life of their own...

I really wish people would ASK if there are changes rather than stating it... There's TONS of folks who look at Cruise Critic who aren't members and see a title or first post like this and take it as fact...
