Room keys are waterproof, right?

The keys are plastic so the water wont hurt them. My husband lost his at the bottom of the adult pool for an hour before someone discovered it and gave it back to him and it worked just fine.

I think they still sell lanyards on board that are waterproof to hold ID.

On CC you will need your key card and your photo ID (drivers license) to board the ship. So you will have 2 pieces to keep track of.

Just like your credit card, its plastic and the magnetic strip can survive getting wet. Not forver in and out of salt water, but we've gone swimming with them and no issues.

If you are taking your license and some paper money a cheap sandwich ziplock bag is what I use.

Going on my first Disney Cruise. From what I gather, all I need for Cataway Cay is my room key. Am I forgetting anything?

Can I just keep it in my pocket, or do I need to worry about it getting wet.
