CoastalCounseling Posted October 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2010 We have done a few cruisies but none with a water slide. Thankful to have one coming up with a 5 year old and an 8 year old. When does Carnival open the slides? Will it be open during the sail away party, ships at sea days, when in port or is availability limited? Thanks for your input. rdler Posted October 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2010 Rarely, I've found. I think it depends on wind, crew availability and if anybody thinks about it. That said, when they are open they are great!
Tegan121 Posted October 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2010 That make me sad, is there anyway to "alert" CCL crew that you would like it opened?
sassy~one Posted October 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2010  Just put the kids NANA in charge of getting someone to open the slide. That should work for sure. :)

Slides are open a few hours each day. Usually around 10 -3. Sometimes they are open on embarkation day, sometimes not. They tend to be open more on days when the ship is in port. Just a note they all have height requirements and I have seen a lot of 5 year olds that don't make the minimum (which is usually 44 - 48 inches).
