I am not certain about this, but I believe that a VF room is only suitable for two adults.

We had 3 adults in a VF on the Nordam with no problems at all. Plenty of storage space. But, when the sofa bed is made up it's really not possible to get to the balcony.

Some of the VF's are quads -- 2 lower beds that make up into a queen size bed -- 1 sofa that makes up for only 1 person and the 4th bed is a pull down bed over the queen bed.

 

Not sure if someone would like aa adult crawling up and down over the main bed.

probably for the best.... not so much for the space, but 4 adults + 1 bathroom = :eek:

Suitable and satisfactory are subjective terms. The facts are that there are some VF that will allow quad occupancy and different adults may have different opinions about whether it's too tight a fit, especially if it's friends versus family. Just MHO.

would never consider friends. But, the family are adults and in rethinking this idea, it was not a rational one.

I suggest you take one balcony and one inside cabin. Split the cost. The four of you can sit and relax on the balcony as required. Don't forget, there is so much to do onboard that the time spent on the balcony is minimal.:)

Four on a VF balcony would be an even tighter fit than four in a VF cabin. :D
