bringing non alcoholic drinks and food on to NCL

I haven't cruised with NCL yet. Can you bring non alcoholic drinks, (soda, fruit juice etc) and snacks (chips, pretzels candy etc ) aboard?

We always take Diet Pepsi, a couple of 12 packs on board. You can hand carry it and run it through the scanner. While waiting to board this time, another passanger said NCL wouldn't permit Pepsi products any longer since they sell that. However, there was no problem at all. Bought more while at Cozumel.

Never, ever heard of anyone having any trouble bring soda, water, snacks onboard. Ever.

Believe it or not, but that is the answer that I got yesterday from an NCL reservations clerk

I did it in September and plan to do it again next week. Had no problems last time.

We took sodas and orange drink mix in our carryon onto the Dawn last week without problems. I did have to empty out the water bottle that I took onboard to mix the orange drink at security entering the terminal. The NCL FAQ addresses this question at http://www.ncl.com
