Statendam still in San Diego (8:30 pm PST)

It is not a charter. We were on the first 14 days of the previous 28 day B2B. We did have a brief period of code red, but understood it involved a very small number of people (and that it might have been food eaten in port rather than noro.) Possibly they had a bigger outbreak on the second leg or possibly they are waiting for some very delayed flights. Can't think of other reasons. The cam does not show any outside work going on.

I got an answer from HAL direct. It was a governmental clearance issue. Involving

US Customs. It was not noro or waiting for a passenger. I hope they informed the

guests on board.

Good. Not good that they had to depart over 5 hours late, but good that it wasn't a problem with noro or the ship or medical problem. We enjoyed our Oct. 29 Statendam cruise.
