1160451 Posted December 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2010 Sat gawking out at the snow instead of playing golf. Having read the cruise ports of call we are next visiting for the umpteenth time and, as the weather is on everybodies lips, I was wondering what the worst weather anybody has seen when it was supposed to be decent weather. No other reason but am bored. The worst I can recall was when it snowed in Calvi during first week in June. Oh I forgot the sun shone in Yorkshire once, which is a shock:) Take it easy
CRUMB Posted December 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2010 Had to laugh at a passenger on our trip to Dominica who was devastated at the weather in the caribbean and didnt stop complaining. We were in a RAINforest and it was RAINing!
u2cruiser Posted December 5, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2010 Worst cruise weather for us was in Cozumel, February 08. We had high winds and the Captain had a hard job keeping the ship stable enough for tendering. We tendered in using the port's own rackety boats for some reason, and it was the scariest thing I've ever done. You couldn't see a thing in front of you for the sea swells and the rail on the top deck next to my seat was broken. In future I will always check the tendering conditions before I get in a queue to get off.

LibraLass41 Posted December 5, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2010 On cruising, many people worry about crossing the Bay of Biscay (BOB) , I've never had a problem with the BOB, the worst storm I have had so far onboard was sailing home to Southampton from Norway, we lost a satelite dome which blew off and landed in the swimming pool, so no communications for mobiles and internet for 2 days, and we rocked. We were told it was the edge of a hurricane, all good fun.:p By null at 2010-03-
jeanlyon Posted December 6, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 6, 2010 It rains in Dubai quite often. I used to fly there often and it is not unusual.
