Category 15-Guarantee Inside Cabin

My daughter and her husband are taking their first Celebrity cruise in June on the Century. Their TA has booked their cabin as a Category 15-Guarantee Inside Cabin. What is the difference between that cabin and the "Z" guarantee? I am confused. Has anyone ever received a cabin from either one of the categories? And, if so, which one? Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe a catagory 15 is located just below the port deisel engine, inbetween the forward and aft fuel tanks! Hope this helps!

I'd really check on that one. Lowest category is 12 inside, unless they're in with the crew!

PatC I was really confused about the Category 15 also. Doesn't appear in any brochures or websites. I guess it must be something that TA's know about and not the general public. When I called Celebrity it was explained to me it was a run-of-the-ship guarantee. To me, I couldn't see the difference between that and a "Z" guarantee. Except, the Category 15 is $150 pp more than the "Z" guarantee. I have cruised 17 times on various lines and have never heard of two types of guarantees. Oh well, guess I will just have to wait and see what type of cabin my daughter winds up with. Thanks all for trying.

I believe a "Z" guarantee is for an inside stateroom. We have done a "Y" guarantee on the Galaxy before, and it was for an oceanview. I was told that with an X, Y, or Z guarantee you cannot use their air (for what it's worth). Maybe that means that if you have a Cat 15 with run of the ship, you may get anything from an inside to a suite--who knows and maybe you can still book air through them. The extra $$$ may be for the chance to get an upgraded room. Just a thought.
