Rum which one?

Please suggest some rums to purchase while in Nassau.

I have to say that my favourite rum is Mount Gay from Barbados. I have had rum from all over the caribbean and it is in my estimation the best. Definately worth trying at least. It is amber in colour and full of flavour. Mind you I find that the white rums (Bacardi etc) just don't do it for me. Another great rum is Pusser's Navy Rum. (The sailors have been drinking it for centuries) Or Lemonhart which is a beautiful demmerara rum with a nice brownsugary flavour. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed with any of these three. I know when I get on the CostaAtlantica tomorrow that there will be a 60oz bottle of Mount Gay in my luggage! Enjoy!:cool:

We usually ask the locals what they would suggest... we love trying rums from different Caribbean ports. Some are just marketed for tourists...

If you ever sip a liqueur, or pour a bit over vanilla ice cream, suggest you buy a bottle of Nassau Royale - if you like rum, imagine you'll really enjoy this rum based liqueur!

Mt. Gay without a doubt! Drink it mixed with pineapple juice, a splash of orange and a dash of fresh nutmeg. UNBELIEVABLE

I will agree Mount Gay is good but if you like dark rums try Meyers. It makes great drinks.
