Shorton, I've been following your posts of trying to get additional people for your Patrick tour in Bora Bora. What will you do if nobody else signs up? Will you do the tour anyway & pay the higher fare? Or take a gamble that you'll find others once on the ship? I see a similar scenario framing up for our cruise a few months later.

Wish we were starting 2011 with a PG vacation. Bring the strongest sunscreen you can find and lots of it plus a hat with either a strap or tight fitting so won't blow off, at least two swimsuits each... don't bring beach towels or umbrellas as both are on ship... clothing during the day is casual try to resist the impulse to overpack (even though there for 2 weeks). Do not miss the Bora Bora motu (free); if you dive or ever thought about trying, this is the place to try.

Good question, MightyQuinn. I plan to e-mail Patrick's crew before we leave to see where we stand on head count. I'll be surprised if we don't have at least six or eight. i could live with that. This excursion seems to be very popular, so I'm hoping more folks will climb aboard.

I'm sending good vibes your way Shorton. It will be interesting to see if Patrick had other inquiries from folks who aren't here on CC. And there's always the possibility that he could get some clients from the local hotels. Here's hoping the best for both of us!

We came close to signing up for the Jan 15 President's Cruise. A local TA has an escorted group on that sailing, but it wasn't the best time for us. I envy you having both Mark Eddowes and Jean-Michel Cousteau as expert lecturers. Do you plan to write a review or post any comments once you return? I'd love to know your impressions of the ship & the excursions.

I will definitely comment when we return. Looking forward to

a spectacular cruise. We have also signed up with Claude

Gerard for a private tour on Nuku Hiva. Will let you know how

that goes. I'm sure it will be very good. Yes, great to have Costeau

and Eddowes on board plus the PG CEO.

Stan

I have just heard from Patrick and he says he still only has 4 for the 3/4 day lagoon trip. I was inquiring about the half day 4x4. He is available but there are no others so far. It's hard to know what to do as nobody else seems to be contacting who are on this cruise. Patrick says post message on cruise critic but that obviously isn't working. If there is nobody else for the 4x4 we might do the ship tour or we can think about the lagoon tour. That would make 6. It doesn't look as though there are many on PG who know about CC. I think probably there will be others on the ship, but I don't want to end up completely missing out on all tours. It's a tricky one.

I'm thinking that at least two more will show up from somewhere. I think we will still do the tour if we can get at least six. Anyone out there going on the Jan. 15 cruise, please consider Patrick's 3/4-day excursion. Better than what you will get from the ship.

Shorton I am very looking forward to your feedback from this cruise as we are going on the next 14 day itinerary in April. Thanks for your recommendation previously about Claude Gerard tour in Nuku Hiva as we plan to do this as well. I was wondering if you will be able to get a copy of the daily cruise schedule for this itinerary, scan it and post it as FlightMedic555 has done. This is great info and invaluable for planning. You would be the best if you could do this after your cruise. Much appreciated.

My wife and I are also on the Jan. 15 sailing. Should be an amazing trip. Patrick's 3/4-day excursion on Bora Bora draws raves from CCers. If we can get a full boat of 12 on Jan. 22, it's $160 apiece (hope I got that right). Here's the Web site:

Actually it's $160 for eight. 12 people will be less. I don't think you will have any trouble filling up and yes, it's worth every penny.:D
