Millennium Dining Choices

This is our first X cruise. I've read in different locations about the dining choices and specialty restaurants. Could someone clarify them.

MDR....... B/L/D (L not served in MDR when in port)

Buffet..... B/L/D (D buffet is limited?)

Specialty....Olympic only....$35 pp

CC staterooms.......enhanced B menu

I think I read about other breakfast/lunch options....what are they? where?

Any other tips?

Thanks,

Karen

AquaSpa cafe - B/L - by the thalassotherapy pool

Outside grill - L - right out the oceanview cafe (buffet) by the pool

Cova cafe - coffees and pastries/tapas style, throughout the day

That's all I can think of, there might be more.

You can order anything from the main dining room menu by room service during the dining room hours.

It is best to speak to your room steward early in the day to let them know you wish to do this.

When we were on Millennium last September they had alternative dining up in the Oceanview Cafe in the evening. It was set up back aft on the port side of the ship. It was a $2 nominal fee. You have to make a reservation ahead of time. We didn't discover it until late in the cruise when they had a huge wine tasting and provided sample bites of items on the menu. The salmon was outstanding, maybe because the ship just came off an Alaska cruise.

We never made it up there as we were with a large group and they couldn't accommodate us, but the menu looked very nice. Check it out when you get on board.

A "newbie" to Celebrity. I have heard that the first two options are free --- is there a fee for the Cova Cafe?

Thanks,

Karen

this is being discontinued and dinner buffet options are being expanded; not sure of the timing, though (i.e., whether the change has already happened).

This dining option was not there on my early December cruise.
