This is my 2nd cruise and I am leaving Monday!! I am so excited!!

I am leaving out of Port of Tampa on the Inspiration headed to Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

I just have 1 question:

What MUST I see on the Inspiration? What is not to be missed? Food? Shows? Activities? ETC. I have also read about a bridge in Tampa that we go under around 5 or 6 - what is that and what time will I see it? Any suggestions would be great!!!

Oh yea, what night is Formal night on a 5 day cruise?

I am celebrating 40lbs lost!!! Though, I am going to gain it all back next week!!:D

Thank you all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Was on Inspiration in late Aug/Sept and loved it. It was our first cruise. We missed being outside when we went under the bridge but we did see the bridge sides from the dining room. Our formal night was the second night, the first day at sea. It really was fun. Congratulations on your weight loss! And have a blast!

The Inspiration is a brilliant ship! She was my first Carnival ship, I've sailed on her since and still love her.

You'll be passing under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge about two hours and fifteen minutes after you sail away. It's a brilliant sight not to be missed:

Do visit the shows, the Welcome Aboard show, in particular. I love the Piano Bar on the Inspiration as well.

Make sure you spend some time at the Serenity Adults Only area on the aft end of the ship, Promenade Deck!!

Have a brilliant cruise!!!

Wear warm clothes for sail away as it's a bit chilly here. Then you can go up to the top where lots of folks will be watching the ship just make it under the Skyway bridge. It's not to be missed! It's extremely windy and if it's chilly, it will be cold.

Serenity is great place to relax. Fills up on sea days.

I did the Bar Hop in Cozumel--thanks to lots of last minute help from Cruise Critic members who helped me get in touch with the guy as I hadn't heard back from him. It was really nice.

Also did the Dolphinrama or whatever it's called. Make sure you have a one piece suit for that!

Inspiration is easy to get around. On Lido there is a deli station in the middle where you can get pressed sandwhiches or a fresh cooked egg in the morning. Beware long lines. Go off times and that won't happen.

Pizza station on port side at the rear of the Lido is good too.

Shows were great in November. If you can you might want to do the Behind the Fun tour. $59 for about 2 1/2 hr tour through the inside crew areas etc. Lots of fun and lots of goodies for those who do it. Sign up early.

Have a blast!

The Inspiration was our first ship as well, and we just adored her. So much that we have sailed on two of her sister ships and enjoyed them just as much! Its a very nice size of ship - plenty big, but not monsterous as some of the newer ones are.

Do note that it will be getting dark to possibly completely dark when you get to the Bridge, but that might make it be a spectacular view for you as well.

Don't miss JERRY!

I just sailed the Inspiration September 30 and am looking forward to hearing Jerry again.

He's an extraordinarily talented soloist guitarist and singer who plays in the centrum lobby bar area and the bar area outside the casino.

He is an Asian man of demure stature from Canada - and just you wait until he begins to sing country. It's so much fun to watch passer-bys with their draw-dropping expressions in disbelief with such a grand voice and expert guitar playing skills. He plays everyone's favorites and really gets the crowd engaged - "Devil went down to Georgia", "Sweet Home Alabama", and other favorites.

He's a definate not miss. But then again, I don't think anyone sailing on the Inspiration could! ;)

We are headed on the Inspiration next month and this is what we plan:

The Fun behind the Scenes tour on a sea day

Grand Cayman - We have a jeep rented to check out the island

Cozumel - I think we are going to end up going to Chankanaab, as I can't find any information on renting a Harley (I think they used to have it, but its gone now).

I can't wait to get to the Serenity area while on board and I can't wait to try all the food that everyone keeps talking about here.

You may or may not be able to see the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on the way out, like Host Mach's picture. Sunset's still before 6PM and if the ship leaves a bit late, it might be dark. But that could be an interesting sight with the lights. Just a tough picture to get.

sentner--you might have a great nearly sunset pic of th ebridge depending on when in Feb you depart. And I think you're right on the Harley's in Coz. Eagle Rider, who rents Harleys all over the world and may have the sole rights to do so, no longer rents Harleys anywhere in Mexico. Someplaces will rent you a moped though. :D

We sailed on her in December and really enjoyed Jerry (already mentioned) as well as the 2 comedians (TC Tahoe is a magician and Comedian and Chris Wiles).

We love the Inspiration!

Have fun, but don't bother with the Skyway Bridge, it will be way dark when you pass underneath.

Wasn't he great! I talked to him for a while at the "secret" Farewll party. He didn't think he'd sign for another tour in October but when I saw him in November I was so glad. How can ANYONE mime Willie Nelson?? He's not to be missed!

We sailed Inspiration last Jan 16 same itinerary! GREAT CRUISE!!!!!

You will be able to see the bridge! Our problem was we were on the adult Serenity area not the best view, we went to the side of the ship to see. Try to get on top during going under the bridge!

Nochi Cocum in Cozumel highly recommend! was a BLAST!!!! You pay one price for all the drinks you want, 3 course meal, which we spread out over time, and beautiful beach! GREAT service.

LOVED Tampa port!!!!!! Great place to hang the night before! I hope you get to see these before you leave!

CONGRATS on your weight loss!!!! That is AWESOME!!!! Must feel great! :D
