Tights or bare leg?

Our cruise is in early March in the Med and from what I read average temps are in the 50-60s. I am taking two cocktail length dresses for Formal night. What would work better for that time of year…tights and heels or bare leg and strappy sandals? If I do the sandals, I would get a pedi before we go so my feet won’t be scary, however, I don’t think anyone would get past my blinding white legs to look at my feet anyway.

I'd go barelegged with strappy shoes...there is always the "self-tanning" moisterizers...they really work! It would help your legs be "less blinding"! Start using about 4-5 days prior to the event!

I would go with bare legs but my legs are rarely cold. If I get chilly, a wrap or more on my top usually does the trick. It really depends if 50-60 degrees means YOU need more clothing or bare is ok;)

First off, I think you should treat yourself to a pedi before going no matter what you're going to wear ;)

 

Second, the temps inside the ship at night are controlled, so it will be the same if you are on the Caribbean, Alaska or the Med, so wear the shoes you love and want to wear.

I go bare-legged whenever possible. I hate how hose pinch my stomach.

I think it depends on how your legs look. If you have nice legs, get some color and go bare. I have some unsightly spider veins and for me I look better with nylons. If I can get those veins lazerd I will go bare as well.:D

I think it's a personal preference. I am glad hose are not the gold standard anymore.

I think that the current fashion is to go with bare legs. That said, there are some legs that look MUCH better covered up.

 

I say go with what makes you feel good. But, if you wear tights or hose, don't wear open toed shoes.

Thanks everyone. I am leaning toward bare leg just because my sandals take up less room in the suitcase. I guess I was wondering more about if people would be wearing winter stuff like tights or spring things like sandals.

It depends on the dress for me. The lbd I wore for the second formal night on my last cruise really needed sheer hose and my black slingback pumps to look right for me. It was just missing something with bare legs.
