Sapphire A742 obstructed?

This is the last balcony on the side -- does the ship side wall obstruct the view back? It looks like a great location, right near the aft pool -- but still want to be able to see up and down from the balcony. Thank you!

Yes it does. The view aft is obstructed by the emergency stair-well structure.

If you want to watch the wake, consider A744 or A749. However, their balconies are a little smaller due to the curve of transom.

A746 & A751 have larger balconies, but the doors out to the Terrace Pool are right 'next door' and SLAM - you may be woken several times during the night as people go in and out. Also, it is very easy for people to look into your balcony from the 'lower level' (extreme stern) Terrace Pool 'area'.

You're welcome.

I'll add that A742 is a great, side balcony stateroom because of the location and easy access to the Terrace Pool area. Plus, you only have a neighbour on one side. ALL side balcony rooms have a 'restricted' view aft. There're really only two choices: wake view or side view.

I've looked in all those rooms on both the Sapphire & Diamond on back-to-back 'turnaround' days. Personally, I would sacrifice some balcony space and pick a far, outside stern room (A744/49) for the wake view, location, privacy and lack of noise.
