I know this maybe a silly question but...

 

In the Uk a typical alcohol measure is 25ml a single and 50ml a double.

 

I have read on various websites that in the states it is 30ml a single or 44ml a single?

 

So which is it and what do they serve as a single on carnival??

Here is the standard in the U.S. and Canada for a single and double

 

1.5 US fl oz (44 mL) 3.0 US fl oz (89 mL)

Using a pour spout, bartenders in the US usually do a long count to three. A little over 3 seconds. They can be quite accurate on the amount with a free pour that way giving you 1.5 oz.

On the ship you will find that the pours are very stingy. Closer to a 25ml single.

I find the drinks generous also. Stronger than I get at home , and I don't measure.. I eyeball it.
