ricok987 Posted February 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Can you purchase full bottles of Booze at the bar to carry back to your room for consumption? I see that Princess sells like half bottles 375 ml for gift purchase at the same price other cruise lines sell 750 ml.

poodlewamp Posted February 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2011 The last princess cruise we were on in november, you could not purchase a large bottle for your room, only the small ones that they advertise. When you do go ashore though, you are allowed to bring back, one bottle or wine or champagne "each" to consume in your cabin. If you wish to take it to the dining room, you will be charged a corkage fee, which i think is $15.00 so not worth your while.. Hope this helps b.j. 19 cruises

1 HappyCruiser Posted February 25, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2011 With prices like that it's no wonder that people resort to smuggling.
Bexhillgirl Posted February 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2011 If you go to the buffet, buy a bottle of house wine to eat with lunch, drink a little, take the rest to your cabin, would that be cheaper? Claire
