I'm so confused about ship time versus Cabo time. We are sailing 5 day Spirit on Sunday. I've read conflicting posts about times. Some say you remained on ship San Diego time, others said you switched to Cabo. I'd love to know which it is as we are looking into booking private tour.

We never switched times at all. Yes Cabo was a hour off of ship time so you had to do the math when booking. So we wore a watch at all times w/ ship time.

Be sure if you book privately to get up early and get tender tickets and be ready to get off the ship. We got ready at our own pace and where tender number 4 I think and by the time we got off I missed the tours I was hoping to make. It all turned out in the end but just a word to the wise. Day 2 in Cabo you don;t need tickets.

Do you recall when they started handing out tickets? What time (approx) did you get your ticket and then what time did the "4's" get off?

thanks!

Bravo! Great review I really enjoyed it.

How did you like the Spirit compared to the Destiny & Liberty? Did it seem to offer less since it is a smaller ship (other than the single dining room)?

I really liked Spirit. I will be looking to sail this type of ship again. It never felt small but we only cruise yearly so it's far between. I liked the layout alot. The buffet was great plenty of small places to grab food to there where few lines. I felt there where many clubs and showrooms. Even when I did not get to use them much. I did not mind having to walk through the casino to get across the ship. Some people complain about this as the smoke bothers them. I never had issues walking through. But that varies from person to person and cruise to cruise.

I was not a huge fan of Destiny- not sure why but when I left it I was not looking to go back. I for sure will if thats my only option.

I did like Liberty a lot. Not sure if it was the ship or the great time we had!! I loved Butch!!

I don't remember after all this itme when they started giving stickers. I'm guessing ealry. My DH was going to grab them at breakfast but everyone had to get there own sticker so it did not work as we where not ready.

We got off as soon as the 4 was called while on the tender we saw Eco Cat's 1st tour of the day leave and Pez Gato was about to pull out. So maybe look at there web sites to see the first time.

I would suggest go get your stickers early once you have stickers you could go back and eat or pack or whatever. You can always get off on a later tender than your sticker says.

Sad to hear that Stu didn't meet your expectations. We've found him completely personable and eager to be friendly to anyone who came by - perhaps he didn't hear you say hello? :( If anything, it can be a little hard to get away from him! :)

Whenever I read that a CD isn't around, I always wonder if it's just bad luck with what activities people go to. Like, when we had Stephanie Meads, I couldn't say enough bad things about her (sorry), but eventually I decided that it was unfair to say she was never around. She was seldom around the activities I cared about, but she hosted other things. We saw a lot of Stu on the last cruise, often just hanging out in public areas, but if we'd picked different activities, we may have completely missed him.

Also, keep in mind that he's an Aussie - they don't jump into your face to be friendly, but they're very friendly when approached. (So, again, maybe he just didn't hear or didn't think you were talking to him, etc.)

Not to be a Stu apologist; I know every CD pleases some people and disappoints others. But, as a fan, I have to defend him. :)
