bigfig63 Posted March 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Recently finished a week on NCL Epic and due to the weather and a upper resp. tract infection, spent alot of time in the cabin. What made that cruise enjoyable though, is NCL has an in room casino on the tv where you can play slots or my fav video poker. You can even play nickels which are not avail. on the floor. The tv in the cabin was about a 19 inch flat screen so video quality was great. (sis's cabin was about a 12 inch). You can charge casino credits to your account and convert them back on the screen if you indeed come out ahead. Does Carnival have in room gaming and specifically does the Paradise? Thoughts? With the URTI I could only handle the real casino for a few minutes due to the air quality. The in room was sure a consideration for the next cruise. Rosefloater Posted March 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2011 No Carnival ships have in-room casinos.
salty dingo Posted March 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2011 So, how did you end up? Did you win or did the house?
bigfig63 Posted March 13, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Actually it was kind of funny. I played the Double Double Bonus poker and one night when I was playng the nickels hit 4 aces which was, if I remember 800 coins, whohoo! On the final night, I had a shipboard balance of $39 due NCL as I usually pay cash on my stateroom account throughout the week for the tips and such. Anyway, the luggage was already taken and all I had was my disembarkation clothes, so put $25 on the in room casino and on the 2nd deal hit 4 jacks. So...... cashed out, zeroed out the NCL shipboard account and when it was all said and done, ended up about $21 ahead for the week. Not bad for I am guessing 8 hours of play. For double double the payout is 9/4 if I remember correctly, which is pretty good considering 9/5 machines are hard to find in shoreside casinos anymore. For the in room play, you use the tv remote to make your selections and work the "machine". It was pretty cool.
