I'm not sure what you are talking about. If you go to this webpage:

http://isurefor.com/

it's not a company. What company actually issued this policy?

I think that was a typo. Perhaps it should have been http://www.insurefor.com ?? If that is the case they do have a specific policy for cruises: http://www.insurefor.com/travel-insurance/cruise-travel-insurance that could have been purchased. It's true that the annual policy doesn't cover cruises. Although if even the "Premier" annual plan only costs about $75 I would imagine there's a whole lot they don't cover that you won't find out about until you get into the fine print. It's in there under the "Upgrades" section:

"• Optional Cruise Cover

Your policy can be extended to cover cruise holidays on payment of an additional premium."

Gotta read the fine print!! Preferably before you buy the policy.

Thank you for the correct link.

OP - You were not ripped off, and you don't have a valid complaint. This additional add-on price for cruises is clearly listed right on the page under the heading Annual Travel Insurance:

In addition to your cheap annual multi trip travel insurance, should you require cover for golf, winter sports, cruise or business travel, these options can be added on as you make your online booking

http://www.insurefor.com/travel-insurance/annual-travel-insurance

This additional charge is not even close to being listed in the fine print!

I'm having trouble figuring out how the base policy covers camel riding and scuba diving but if you're going to play golf you have to pay extra. Very strange.

The OP was talking about the UK not the US

there have been several reports recently about some travel insurance companies in the UK not covering cruises as standard you have to pay an extra payment.

Yes, this is apparent when one goes to the website for this company. It clearly states that cruises are not covered. I am not sure how OP missed this, as it's right on the front page. IMO, this is not a case of the insurance company being deceptive in any way.
