Rent a jeep/car and drive around the island. Get a map from mapchick dot com to familiarize yourself with the island. The road around the island is very easy to follow. Head south from the port and you will basically drive in a circle around the island. You can visit Punta Sur Lighthouse on the southern end, stop at Coconuts on the East side for a drink and a view, stop at San Gervasio Ruins or the Tequila Museum on the return to town. Get gas as you return to town, turn in your car and shop a bit.

what about a taxi to San Gervasio Ruins? are they safe and a great place to visit also how much would it cost to get there in a taxi......and how long does it take to look at the ruins.......and are there any good beaches near the port
