2-way radios

Are 2-way radios allowed on cruise ships? With the ships getting larger and larger, it seems that may be the only way of keeping track of one another.

From what I just read many times they are useful and you can use them on board. Check out the post "what's the one thing no one told you to bring" I found it very interesting, and there were things there I never even thought about bringing.
