Baltimore Cruises - RCCL or Carnival

My family and I are looking at cruising out of Baltimore during Easter break 2012. We have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. We can't decide between Carnival Pride and RCCL Enchantment of the Seas. Any recommendations?

I am also interested in cruising out of Baltimore during Easter week (spring break) 2012-- have been on sister ship, Legend, but have never sailed RCL... Very interested to hear preferences for one over the other...

My husband and I have cruised on both cruise lines. We've been on Carnival more than Royal Caribbean (5 cruises with Carnival and 2 on Royal Caribbean), but all of those cruises were in the late 90's, early 2000's, before the kids :-). I've enjoyed all of the cruises that we took on both cruise lines, although I will say that I liked the Royal Caribbean ships a little bit more than the Carnival ships. This will be the 1st cruise with the little ones, so I want to make sure that there are plenty of activities and things for them to do. I'm really torn between the 2 ships... with which one will have the most amenities and activities for the kids, and which one is the nicest in terms of cleanliness and overall look. I might end up flipping a coin on this one :-). I've stressed more over which ship to take than I did over picking names for my kids :-).

I prefer RCL ships too, and for the adults, if you want a beautiful ship, its RCL to me. The kids programs are both strong. I know RCL marches the kids in the last show and up on stage which is fun for everyone. For $200, if money isnt that tight Id do RCL.

If I have the choice, Id rather add to my loyalty program with the extra RCL cruise, because RCL to me has the better loyalty program. That being said, I have more on Carnival because its the only year round choice out of TX.
