RollerCoasterLover Posted June 22, 2011 Author #26 Share Posted June 22, 2011 Yes, they do! One of the most sought after pictures is the one people take on the atrium staircase, which is nicely decorated for the holiday. Thanks!!! This is great news! RollerCoasterLover Posted June 25, 2011 Author #27 Share Posted June 25, 2011 Does anyone have pics of the Conquest decorated for Christmas? I just saw some pics of the Elation decorated up and I loved it.
nasa1974 Posted June 25, 2011 #28 Share Posted June 25, 2011 Last year we sailed from Tampa 12/11 and cruised the Eastern Carribean. It was shorts and sandles the whole trip. Except arrival and departure days. We are from Cleveland and it was cold up north. :) It was a little rough but not bad. It didn't bother our group. Have fun. gymrat10 Posted June 27, 2011 #29 Share Posted June 27, 2011 My wife and I did a 10 day sailing mid October, RCCL, out of New Jersey last year. A bit nip at sailing, but but when we woke the next morning...it was hit the lido deck for some serious sun..the rest of the cruise was beautiful weather..With that said, we have never cruised in December. Weather can go both ways, maybe cold maybe warm..it is what it is. This is our first time out of New Orleans. Heading down the 23rd. In the past we did the same day flights, and had to rush to get to the ship. To many things can go wrong, not worth it. This way a good nights sleep at the Hilton, and only 2 miles away from the ship which means we get a early jump on embarkation. Any idea cost to get from hotel to ship via cab.. Enjoy your cruise!! winddawn Posted June 27, 2011 #30 Share Posted June 27, 2011 We cruise every Christmas, and last Christmas was the first time we had chilly weather. We also had LOT of wind last Christmas. Just pack a hoodie in case. All other years besides 2010 we have had wonderful warm weather for Christmas Caribbean cruising.
kireelady Posted June 27, 2011 #31 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Keep in mind...it could always be a crazy cold streak, though. Exactly! We cruise every December and last year was the only time when the weather did not cooperate. Imagine a cruise on a sea day when the Lido deck is almost empty. Yep. That's how chilly it was. We stopped in Nassau and it was chilly and rainy there and couldn't stop in Key West because the winds were too high. Did we have a blast anyway? Absolutely! Be sure to check the weather ahead of time and expect to have a great time either way. :-)
