Im a little nervous

Recommended Posts

We are set to sail on the 4/3 Mariner, and our flight arrives at 12:30 into Orlando the day of the cruise. I wish that I would have flown in the day before, but it is too late to do that now. I would have gotten tickets to fly in earlier, but we booked the cruise about a month ago, and due to the Masters Tournament (Im flying out of Augusta) most of the flights were already booked. We will be flying from Augusta to Charlotte, and then from Charlotte to Orlando (on United). I know that I'm probably overreacting, but someone please reassure me that this will be ok! I figure to make it on the ship by 2:30 - 3:00. Is this a reasonable estimate?

Thanks -

it is only a hour to get from Orlando to the port. I think that you will be fine. From August it might be easier to drive your car to the port.

Well, we would have done that. However, it is a Sunday to Sunday cruise, and my wife has to be back to work the Monday after. We just did not feel like making that long drive back Sunday afternoon. Good to see a fellow dawg fan though!

Hi, we are on the cruise also (4/3 Mariner) with a group of about 30 most of us from the Gwinnett Co area. You should have no trouble coming in from Orlando at that time, you might even miss the crowd. My brother who is on the same cruise is flying in from Milwaukee by way of Atlanta and is going into Melbourne. It is a nice small airport about 20 miles away. The best part about Melbourne is most people forget it and they only have about 180 passangers a day this helps in avoiding delays. (just a tip for next time).

See ya on board

Have you ever seen Bush field in Augusta???? Now that's a small airport. Charlotte has a pretty good record of on-time departures. The biggest obsticle I see is the drive from Orlando to Pt. Canaveral. I've seen a few posts on different threads that had mentioned quite a bit of highway construction. But, as my uncle B.S. used to say, no sense in worrying about things you can't control.

Hi, I was on the Mariner last week, did the same thing, was unable to come down a day early due to work scheduling, My flight got in at 1200, and was ON THE SHIP by 1:30. Think positive, and hopefully you have the insurance right just incase bad would happen?
