request a different cabin

I booked my first cruise online on oceana 9th Nov.2011 and received my cabin number F227 which is F deck down in the dungeons can I ask for a different cabin we are both in our sixties

It depends on what terms you booked it. If it was a guarantee cabin, then no, I don't think you can change it, although it is worth a try. It is quite a long way ahead to be allocated a guarantee cabin though. If you chose it when you booked then there is an admin fee to change.

 

F deck is quite good though - handy for disembarking at ports and great if you encounter rough seas.

With an inside cabin, when you are in your cabin it could be anywhere on the ship as they are identical. As Sharon has said being low down can be better in rougher see plus you are very close to the Atrium.

Have been on F deck and it was perfectly fine. The cabins are mostly identical (suites etc excepted) on Oceana whatever deck you are on so chances are, you would only be changing deck rather than cabin style. I wouldn't bother changing unless you are really unhappy.

We always opt for a cabin on F deck. It is so convenient.
