Duty Free Perfume Ship or Gib

Recommended Posts

Easy to figure.

You're going to be able to visit ship's d/f before & after Gib.

And guessing you'll have just a couple or three preferred brands.

So make a note of the on-board prices (mebbe even get a copy of the price list), convert to sterling or euros, then go shopping in Gib knowing what you'll have to pay on the ship.

Independent shops in Gib will haggle, so work on them.

You'll know how high you'll pay.

But the shops won't.

Unless you tell them.

And you don't have to be totally honest in what you tell them ;)

They'll sell for whatever they can get over cost price, as long as you are discreet - they won't negotiate with a loud-mouth cos other customers in the shop will want to do likewise.

JB :)
