We just got off the Carnival Conquest today. Barry Miller was the piano guy... and he is amazing! We had more fun and laughs on this cruise than any we've been on before (about 9). I would definitely book a particular cruise ship just because he was playing.

Yeah...saw him on the dream ... he's surprisingly good...engages the crowd, even wrote a song for a newlywed couple from the night before. He likes to invite individuals to grab a mic and sing with him.

we had dave on the freedom last year. we really liked him..he encouraged everyone to participate and it was always a decent crowd...also if he didnt have a song you wanted, he would try to have it ready for you before the end of the cruise...not guaranteed of course but he atleast tries

Just got off the FASCINATION and have not really done the bar visit before but was totally impressed with Michael Smith. He play the piano and guitar ~ great inteaction with the bar the entire time. Red Solo Cup was one that was requested everynight and he even had his own red solo cup at the Piano!

 

I will be visiting other Piano bars on future crusies due to wonderful time we had at this one. (kept me out of the casino :) )

It figures! I have not had a good piano bar entertainer in quite a few cruises. VERY sad!! I have had some wonderful times in Carnival Piano Bars but unfortunately I have not been so lucky lately. Actually my last 4 cruises were Piano Bar disappointments

 

I will try and find those posts though. I had done a search on this thread but the only stuff that had come up was all the listing posts. I will try again.

 

I am sailing on the 30th of May.....Must go add that to my siggy!! :)

 

Just got off the Miracle on Sunday and I don't know what other people said about Brennan, but he had me smiling from ear to ear ALL WEEK! He is super charismatic, has a beautiful voice and just likes to have fun. He is new to working in a piano bar, and he told us that when he first started, he thought he was supposed to play a specific type of music, and wasn't getting very favorable reviews, (in fact some people were quite mean to him), but once he started taking requests, he started having more fun and so did the guests! He even learned 2 songs for us that he was familiar with, but never sang/played before the week was over and sang them beautifully! He was the highlight of my friends' and my time on the ship. Anyone sailing after the end of June will not have the fortune to meeting this adorable young man as he will be heading home to Kentucky before taking a job on another cruiseline. I have nothing but great things to say about Brennan, and after listening to his band's CD, I know that he will do great things in the future!

This was back in 2011 on the Carnival Liberty - but does anyone remember "Summer Breeze" ? They were a M/F Asian duo, and they sang everynight in the main lobby area. I thought they were fantastic! Not sure if they are still around or not.
