Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival? (Part 2)

We were just on the Valor and had Brad Alexander in the piano bar. He was absolutely awesome. Loved him!

 

I've sailed once where Brad was a guest and did a few songs! I really enjoyed him! I'm hoping to sail with him one of these days! A very nice person too!

In my honestly humble opinion.........sometimes we need to bring the party to the piano player..........let's all chip in to make the evening a special occasion.......a piano player is just another member of the party!!!! If you need further assistance........just invite me to the party.........:)

 

Oh believe me I bring it on!

 

I even got Peter Brenner to play some fun songs a couple of times AND come into the disco with a few of us after. It took work but I did it!!!!

 

Regardless of what I see when I first arrive I have always stayed and tried to cheer the situation along. I will go back in there every night no matter what because things can change on a dime. I AM NOT a singer but I have always tried to pick good songs and encourage others to join in. Believe me, if the PB Player is not cut out for a Piano Bar then there may not be much anyone can do to help the situation along!

 

Additionally, ANY entertainer can have a bad week. Do you remember Damien?? People absolutely LOVED him and I sailed with him 2 times. One of the weeks he was grumpy due to the behavior of one particular large group of Pax. He was totally off and it was not the fun experience I had with him prior because he was annoyed and it came through. So you just never know!

Just got off the Ecstasy today and wanted to say the piano bar was really hopping .Mr H does a great job with the crowd.Well worth seeing.

 

We were on the Legend last year with Mr. H and he was just learning the Piano Bar ropes!! What a talented guy!! A shame the ship just didn't have a Piano Bar crowd and the PB is not in a great place for exposure anyway! But he could play anything! I actually thought he left Carnival! Good to hear he's still around!

I totally agree! And just what we did on Fascination a couple weeks ago. Had a blast in the piano bar!

JavaMom I agree! It was so much fun! Also we had a young guy Jake that would visit and played for us each night. What talent! I looked forward to heAring him.

 

The Piano Bar...lots of memories made in there. With old and new friends.

Ed Rocks was on the Triumph when we sailed her in 2000. Definitely one of my faves along with Ron Pass...awesome entertainers and lots of fun!

Ron Pass has firmed his plans up with the office, so now it is official he returns to the Breeze on November 6 in time for the TransAtlantic and will stay on her "At LEAST through February"

The Party with Marty, Is the best piano bar party I have ever been to!

 

If you love party songs you will love Marty Gast. He even played for us at our CC cocktail Party.

I SO agree with you! We had Marty on the Freedom in Nov and it was fantastic! Went there every nite...such a great time! Every time I hear Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen), I am right back in that bar:D

I wonder you comes on the Valor on 6/23? I look forward to the PB.....does anyone know? or how do I find out?

Hey Laura,

 

A small update on Brad Alexander... On your advice a few weeks ago, I emailed Brad telling him about my "hoard" sailing on the Valor on June 17. I "begged" him to extend at least to the following cruise. After a couple of nice emails back and forth HE DID EXTEND!!! So now he will be there through June 23. YIPEEEE!!!!

Any thoughts on Rob Crucilla on Victory? Looks like he just started on May 20th....We sail in July and love piano bars.

He was on one of our cruises a couple of years ago and was good. We didn't spend a lot of time in the PB that trip...we were with people who weren't really into it...so we didn't see a lot of him.
