rdnpdx1 Posted October 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2011 We are travelling on the NB Celebrity Millennium on June 1, 2012. Several in our group of nine want to do some fishing in Ketchikan while in po4rt on June 3rd, and we contacted Ken at Northern Lights in Ketchikan. Unfortunately he is booked. Does anyone have an anternative suggestion for a charter boat they have used and would recommend? In addition, do you have any suggestions for good charters in any of these ports, in case Ketchikan does not work out - Hoonah/Icy Strait, Juneau, Skagway and Homer. Currently we have other things planned for those ports, but we may need to juggle things around. Thanks.
Putterdude Posted October 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2011 In Ketchikan you could try Strike Zone Charters, I know the family quite well, Luke and his father have been guides for years. http://www.alaskastrikezone.com/

They are reliable and competitively priced and I would recommend them. They also have some discounts (e.g. Alaska Airlines employees, military and perhaps others). They don't advertise these discounts. You must ask about them!
Budget Queen Posted October 15, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2011 Homer and Hoonah are also known superb fishing areas to consider.
