If you have a suite breakfast and lunch are free. I enjoyed steak and eggs for breakfast and shrimp cocktail for lunch. I did leave a tip for both meals about $3. or $5. per meal which was my choice. The wait staff did get me ice tea for both meals. The consigure was there for breakfast checking on you to see if there is anything that he can do for you ie dinner reservations

I'd love to learn more about the Suite perks on the NCL :rolleyes:Jewel. I read Cagney's breakfast and lunch is one of them. Does the extra charge apply to breakfast and lunch also?

The Cagney's breakfast and lunch is available for Full Suite passengers, not the mini's, and is included in your suite price.

The breakfast and lunch at Cagneys is included as a suite guest. We left a tip of a few dollars each meal. One of the things we like about this perk is we never feel the need to have dinner there since we eat there (Cagneys) a few times over the week, allowing us to try other places.

Our 2nd favorite suite perk is the priority embarkation. Can't beat being escorted right on the ship and brought to Cagneys for that first lunch:)!

In addition to those perks already mentioned, we also liked having priority tender tickets. We were given a time and place to meet and escorted to on tender as a group, bypassing all the lines.

as i remember we walked on rose petals and where welcomed back with white doves being released .thats the way i remember it anyway.

Thanks so much everyone! We are in the Penthouse Suite and our kids are in a balcony. Will they be able to eat breakfast and lunch with us at Cagney's and during embarkation? I don't want to be separated from them when we board.

They would most likely be able to board with you, but they won't be able to eat in Cagney's with you.

I don't know if you didn't see my response in the two other threads in which you posted this question or if you just didn't like the answer.

Breakfast and lunch at Cagneys are included for full suite guests.

Other family in non-suites (i.e. balcony cabin) are not included/invited (including the day of embarkation).

They probably won't be allowed to join you in Cagney's for breakfast and lunch....but you could order breakfast or lunch (any day except embarkation day) from Cagneys and have it served in your suite. Your Butler will gladly set up the table in your cabin with the linen table cloth and bring in the food. ;)

Sorry...I didn't see your response and didn't think those posts had made it because I got an error message when I hit submit. Thanks for responding.

Just remember that gratuities for your Butler and Concierge are not covered by the DSC, so if you utilize services such as dining en' suite, and including additional guests, you might want to consider boosting your Butler's tip accordingly. ;)

What would you tip your butler and concierge?

Dorene

Well, it depends largely on how much you utilize their services, as well as how complicated or difficult your requests may be.

A quick search of these boards will give many thoughts on this particular topic, and the suggestions vary quite widely.

We tend to to be rather extravagant tippers, but it really is entirely up to you and what you feel is fair for the services rendered. ;)

Honestly, most of the answers I did research on was just what you are saying. I would like someone say what they give.......because there are so many threads on here about tipping your butler and concierge but no one comes right out with the info. I would like someone to say I give $XX.XX per day or at the end of my cruise.

Is it because people are afraid to say it because it's too much or too little.

The reason that people don't come right out and say a specific amount per day is that it varies and depends entirely on how much someone used the butler and concierge for any given cruise. I guess I'd say that for us the default tip (that is, not asking for anything at all over what they do anyway) would be $10-$15/day for the butler and $5-$10/day for the concierge--the difference is because what they do differs by itinerary and ship. If we asked for a few extra services, we'd up it by about $5/day. If we asked for complex (such as a cocktail party for 25) or frequent extras (such as ordering Cagney's room service every day for breakfast and lunch for our family), we'd add at least another $10/day for whichever helped us that much more. It would depend entirely on how much and what specifically we requested and how the service was carried out because not all concierges and butlers are "created equal." In our limited suite experiences, we've been middle of the road with not that many extras requested and receiving acceptable to terrific service.

It's also a matter of personal opinion as to how much is enough or too much or too little. I'm sure some members will think us cheap and others think we over-tip. IMO, we simply cannot say, "You should tip specific-dollar-amount" because there are too many variables involved.

One of the best perks you get by staying in a full suite is Cagneys breakfast and lunch

It is so nice to have a sanctuary away from all the hustle and bustle of the other eating places.

the food is always good, the staff remembers you and it is a nice quite eating atomsphere.

Also, it helps to tip at the beginning of the cruise! We found the service outstanding once we had tipped early. It may have been the same if we had waited, but we felt (s)he stepped up even more due to the early tip.
