Casinos in Bahamas

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the casinos on the ship are open if the ships is overnight in the bahamas?

Carnival ships that overnight in Nassau are allowed to open their casino in port.

They even open if not overnight. We were there in Oct until 10pm and the casino was open while in port in the evening.

On my last cruise the casino opened at 7:00 pm while in Nassau. I asked the casino employees why they opened, and they said when they are in Nassau at least 12 hours they are allowed to open at 7:00 pm.

They are open but......why not go to Atlantis.............there are many machines in their casino and much looser that Carnival. Just a thought.

On my first cruise, we were so excited about going to the Atlantis casino. We were all highly disappointed. Many machines didn't work, and the employees were rude when we ordered (and paid for) drinks. :mad:

 

If I return to Nassau, I'll stay on the ship to gamble! ;)

Just got back and we went to the Crystal Palace at the Wyndham in Nassau. They had some fun machines and won some there too. Drinks are cheap there too. If in Freeport go to Treasure Bay Casino at the Wyndham there as well. We did pretty well there as well and they do give free drinks while you gamble. Machines on the ship do tend to be tighter! Atlantis is nice, but over rated and can be very crowded too.
