Yes. If you simply want to walk around the city of Oranjestad, it is very walkable from the port. As to "great architectural buildings" having spent significant time on the island we were not even aware of this fact (or is it a myth?). Please post your experiences when you get back from the trip. :)

Reminds me of the poster here who wanted to experience Aruban culture by going to the supermarket there. Or, the people who ask about shopping and purchasing native handicrafts.
