nice web site Ham -- but it's in Italian -- and I havent' learned any yet LOLs

what does it cost to take the train back to the ship, how far is the ship from where the train stops, and if we want to see most of the hot spots (our daughter has maped it out well for us) is 10 hours way too much? Want to really enjoy it but don't want to feel stranded there either.

There is an icon on the top of the web page (toward the right side) for English.

Also if you open a "foreign" website which does not have an english icon using a Google browser, the browser offers to translate for you.

Thanks -- will be doing an excursion from the ship - 10 hour excursion in Rome -- just wondered how long the bus ride would be and if the time frame might be long - just curious --

It depends on how you like to travel. I think most people (myself included) would feel that 10 hours to see Rome doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what you'd want to see -- but some people may prefer a quick highlights tour and not want a long day of touring. Only you can answer that one for yourself. You might want to take a Foders or Frommers travel guide about Rome out of your library to figure out what's of interest to you.

Esimon -

Cost is €9 round trip. Actual travel time is 1hr 23mins. Station (statzione, located on the via della Repubblica) is about a 10 min walk from the entrance to the port. More or less straight. And when we were there Regent ran a free shuttle from the port entrance to the ship.
