Debdoobers Posted July 25, 2015 #26 Share Posted July 25, 2015 Booked at Homewood Suites / Blue Lagoon in Miami. There will be 7 of us cruising out of POM on 4/16/2016. Don't know how many in your party but this was an excellent deal with round trip to port included and free parking for length of your cruise up to 14 days. It has a 3.9 rating on Trip Advisor and is great for families. Lots of pics to view rooms on their personal website. Also if your book direct with them you get a special rate. We paid out the door for 7 of us 394.00 taxes included for the night. Break that down it's like 55.00 per person. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite with 2 king beds in one bedroom 2 double in another and a fold out sleeper sofa. We are planning on sleeping 2 to a bed where needed. We are all friends and just need a clean place to lay our heads the night before the cruise. There are no places to eat or "things" to do in the immediate area so you will need to get in your car to go anywhere or get a bite but we are planning on renting a Limo for a couple of hrs. to hit the strip. Hope this Helped!

TravlGrl Posted August 28, 2015 #28 Share Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) Old thread I was hoping to revive. Which hotel did you choose?> We ended up not staying down there pre-cruise, and just making the drive the morning of the sailing (from Delray Beach). We had just moved to Florida back then and really didn't want to make the drive on the same day, but chose to save the money. Fast forward to 2015 now, and I think we've taken 10+ cruises out of Miami but haven't stayed any nights pre-cruise there since moving here! Perhaps someone else can be of help now that this thread has been revived?? Edited August 28, 2015 by TravlGrl

JohninDC Posted December 5, 2016 #30 Share Posted December 5, 2016 The common advice on this board, especially from the locals, is to park at the port - covered, convenient and secure. If you use the search function on this board you will find many threads about Miami parking -- some have successfully saved money :) and many others had cars vandalized, long waits for shuttle, or lost deposits. :( Only a few of the airport area hotels offer cruise parking deals - La Quinta East is a budget option often suggested. None includes a ride back to your car, so add a $30 cab ride to the budget. http://www.stay123.com and http://www.parksleepfly.com are two sources to check. It's your car - do you feel lucky?
