Sailing on Mother's Day?

Someone just posted on our roll call noting that we embark on the ship on Mother's Day. I think this is the best present a mom could ask for. :D

 

Someone else posted and wondered out loud if NCL would have flowers or do anything to honor mother's on that day. Since I have never cruised on any holiday, I figured I would post and ask all the experts here on CC.

 

So... Have you cruised on Mother's Day? If so, did anything special happen?

We sailed with my mother on the Spirit over Mother's Day in 2007 (so awhile ago). We embarked on Mother's Day but there wasn't anything special other than maybe a mention in the Dailies from what I recall.

I am booked to sail on the Pearl on Mothers Day. Thats all the present I need!! Although flowers do sound nice!!:D

Everyone on our roll call pretty much felt the same way saying going on a cruise was a great mother's day present. We were just curious if NCL ever did anything. I really didn't expect them to though.

They do give you the opportunity to purchase flower arrangements for your mother through the bon voyage department. :D
