I know the island is really really nice now with millions in upgrades. Did they add jet skis as an option, I know of parasailing and non motorized stuff. Going there next month just curious. Thanks!!

Just returned from GSC - our son and his girlfriend did the Waverunner excursion. It was a guided tour, with some narrative regarding sealife, area, etc. Due to tides, they can't always run all the times scheduled. They had a great time.

Jst came back from sky trip to Bahamas. They do have them, what was said before is true, and they did not ask for a license but you had to be 16 or older.

It was fun. Up to 40 at times flying over the ocean. Well worth the cost.

If you look at the excursions at NCL.com you'll see they have wave-runners at GSC...Below is a cut/paste of the description...Note that it states you must be 18 years of age and have a drivers license, unlike what some other posters here have said. They also offer tours with 2 guests (driver and passenger). The single rider tour is $99 & the double rider tour is $149.

Wave Runner Tour - Single (Driver Only)

Take a 45-minute guided adventure through the Berry Islands, neighboring Great Stirrup Cay. After a safety briefing and orientation, you’ll board your Wave Runner for an informative and exciting guided tour. Some of the sights you may see include the Lighthouse at Great Stirrup Cay, Slaughter Harbor and the abandoned island community of Cistern Cay. Note: This tour is for single drivers only. Participants must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license. Maximum 1 person (driver) per water craft. The maximum weight must not exceed 450 lbs. All participants will be required to complete a liability release form and wear USCG approved life jacket and wet suit.

I did the wave runner tour in November. It was fun. If you know what your doing and want to run fast start in the front of the pack in this guided tour. Keeping up with the lead guide in 3-4 swells was exhilarating. We did stop from time to time for 10 minutes or so to let the other guides and the timid drivers catch up.

So very interesting history shared of the nearest island was shared. 10 years of small planes from Columbia and go fast boats headed to Miami.
