2young2care Posted February 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2012 This is bad. Really bad. We haven't had a vacation in 4 years. My fiance said a couple of weeks ago...." Book a cruise. End of February. Now." And I did. God help me, I did. Now I can't concentrate. I mean, we cruise in 22 days. oh yeah. We cruise in 22 days. I was caught at work reading "Cruise Critic". My coworkers call Cruise Critic... should I say it?... dare I say it?... CRUISE PORN I think they are organizing an intervention. They whisper amongst themselves all day and then go strangely silent when I walk in the room. :( I don't want to go to rehab. :(

RunsWithFlyingDolphins Posted February 4, 2012 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2012 LOL. I was sitting in the Tokyo airport NRT the other day waiting for my plane to be brought to the gate with my first officer. I was on cruise critic and he looked over and kinda made fun of me and also called it cruise porn. But it doesn't matter I love this place. CarrieAP Posted February 4, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Yes it's an addiction and even worse now that I finally got an IPAD! While I don't have a moment at work, I'm hooked when I finally get my first few minutes of down time at night and then end up sleep deprived the next day. One more trip report and then I'll turn out the light....oh, that one looks interesting, I'll just read a few lines.....now which ship is that, I'll just look at the pictures this time......she's so funny, let me just glance at her previous report......I loved the Dream, what year can we go on the Breeze.....yeah!- a new post about the Victory.....better call Bon Voyage in the morning just in case those prices do go up........yumm that looks good, is it on the old menu or new one.......what exactly is fun 2.0??..........forgot to check roll call, will just jump over there and then I really need to sleep........love that soft sway of the ship at night......how many more days......who am I kidding, go-ahead read one more post...... All of your fabulous cruises! *Green with Envy* Even my fiance, who in his complete sweet innocence commanded me to book our cruise, is looking at me all shifty-eyed while thumbing through the yellow pages marked "Psychiatrist". He made the mistake of asking me to show him a picture of HMC (since we've never been there yet). "Sweetie, there's a ton of pics over here on the "All Things HMC thread!" Hmmmph! He said he only wanted to see ONE!

Celandine Posted February 4, 2012 #15 Share Posted February 4, 2012 It's crazy how much time I log here after I booked a cruise and am waiting for it! The people on this board UNDERSTAND - the people I work with, not so much LOL We all know what it's like to think about your upcoming cruise every waking moment, want to read everything about that ship - and what the heck, how about every other ship someone posts about from that cruiseline - maybe even another cruiseline I too read someone's review and then link to one of their past reviews - sometimes I re-read reviews.... I sometimes ask questions, and answer others - but mostly I sit here for hours reading, dreaming, figuring for my next cruie to book and wishing time would speed up!!! Happy cruising to you all :)
maritaysa Posted February 4, 2012 #16 Share Posted February 4, 2012 I, too, am joining this support group. I had a family cruise booked for: four in 1 cabin on the Spirit, changed it to four in 1 spa cabin on the Splendor, changed it to 1 spa cabin and 1 4K cabin, changed it to 2 different spa cabins, changed it to 1 spa cabin (since 1 member isn't going) and to another date. Now I'm looking into changing it to a B2B to a whole other port and back on the Spirit! Was that hard to follow? I know, I know....I need help. I'm sure that's what DH thinks, but is too nice to say...
NanCan Posted February 4, 2012 #17 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Same here, fortunately (or unfortunately??lol) for me I am on here constantly from the second I get off the phone from booking a cruise. I read about people's experiences that don't concern my whatsoever, search for pictures from "my" ship.. CC is constantly on my screen and I constantly am hitting the refresh button in case someone posts a highly important thread "Do they have Fish and chips on the Pride" I am not even sailing on the Pride but I googled and answered.. it was not even my business to answer lol... but when I have no cruise booked, I cannot bear to be on here and read about everyone else going on their cruises... It makes me feel too depressed...but when I do I am a CC Junkie (and not the least bit ashamed!!)
cinsu Posted February 4, 2012 #18 Share Posted February 4, 2012 I knew I had a disease and now I know what it is. I got up at 5:45 Central Time this morning and all ships were already in and accounted for! Darnnit. DH and I haven't cruised in 5 years and DD went on her last cruise in <<gasp>> 2004! ValentineCruise Posted February 4, 2012 #24 Share Posted February 4, 2012 I booked my first cruise last may and will be leaving tuesday for Miami and boarding Liberty in a week. I've been very excited and keeping my co-workers, friends and buisness relations up to date on my findson CC and how many days left before my trip. Thursday, when I showed up for a meeting, they actually had a large flip chart and it said: 5 days before JXXXXXXX shuts up about it and goes on her trip :p I just had to laugh!
